An independent animation filmmaker whose work has earned awards both in the Philippines and internationally. He has collaborated with several prominent institutions, including the Cultural Center of the Philippines, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, and National Commission for Children's Television. With a focus on character design, layout, and paperless 2D animation, Nelson brings his unique contribution to every project.

In addition, to his filmmaking, Nelson is also a professor, teaching courses in drawing, design, and 2D animation. He completed his MFA in Film and Animation at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2018 as a Fulbright scholar.
